Location: Amesbury, MA

Type: Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM-2:30 AM

Pay: $27.41-$36.50/hour (includes 15% shift differential)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Press Brake Operator for a third-shift opportunity with our client in Amesbury, MA. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who is experienced in operating press brake machinery within a manufacturing environment. The operator will be responsible for setting up, programming, and running press brakes to produce high-quality metal components according to specifications.

What the Press Brake Operator Will Be Responsible For

  • Operating press brake machinery to bend, form, and fabricate metal parts.
  • Setting up tools, dies, and fixtures based on work orders or blueprints.
  • Adjusting machine settings to ensure accurate dimensions and consistent quality.
  • Inspecting finished parts using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.).
  • Monitoring equipment performance and reporting mechanical issues.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job travelers.
  • Perform machine adjustments and programming to meet job requirements.
  • Select proper tooling and verify material specifications.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and document results.
  • Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors on workflow improvements.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience operating a press brake required.
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
  • Proficient with precision measuring tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
